| It takes two to tandem Open up exciting touring possibilities with your partner! Nigel Foster has developed the new Point 65 tandem DoubleShot to go where the singles go! This is a lively tandem with some similarities to the single Whisky 16. Although fitted with a rudder as standard, the shallow-arch/hard chine hull configuration permits accurate edged-turning for coordinated paddling teams. This combination makes close coastal exploration easier and fun. Nimble for a double, and comfortably stable, the DoubleShot has sufficient storage capacity for day-trips and short multi-day expeditions, and offers exciting play opportunities for adventurous couples.  If you’re looking for a playful tandem and don’t want a barge, this could be your craft! The DoubleShot is manufactured with vacuum-bagged fiberglass strengthened with honeycombed core-matt for improved rigidity and lightness. It is standard equipped with an easily removable rudder, rigged to be operated from the rear seat. Storage is in five sealed compartments with large oval hatches to access the fore and aft cargo spaces, a single round hatch into the central compartment between the two paddlers, a round day-hatch behind the rear seat and a small “Whisky hatch” accessing an under-deck compartment in front of the forward seat.  The seating positions are suitably separated to avoid “paddle-clash” between the two paddlers on the water.
