The trip will take him past the Baltic coasts of 10 countries; Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany and finally Denmark. Thats only 9 but Paul did a stretch of the atlantic coast of Norway as he launched from Oslo. Then as a warm up he paddled the full Swedish atlantic coast (north sea) before taking on the Baltic sea coast. Paul and his Mercury are currently in Kristianstad and you can track his progress through this link: http://www.going-solo.co.uk/track-me.html The kayak is holding up fine so far. When designing the Mercury we did not anticipate massive expeditions like this but are thrilled that performance and durability is sufficient for this use. And if Paul gets tired he can just take the boat apart and take a bus anywhere he wants. Godspeed Paul! Follow Paul on: Facebook » Going Solo Adventures blog » The intervju from Gothenburg |
